Greg & LuAnn Lyons
Manila, Philippines
Greg and I have been missionaries in the Philippines since 1987. Greg is the son of Missionaries Boyd and Donna Lyons and grew up in Manila, Philippines.
I (LuAnn) grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and attended Parkhill Baptist Church most of my life. My mom, Betty Roller, and my sister, Meryl Denney and her family are still a part of Parkhill’s family.
Parkhill had a significant role in my decision to go to Bible College, and then, ultimately, become a missionary. Parkhill always had missionaries coming through and it seemed normal that missions were an important part of ministry.
The Parkhill “family” has always been so supportive of us! Many people have said that they pray for us every day. That is such a blessing and encouragement.
Our ”family” connection strengthened even further when our eldest son, Luke, married Kelly Cox, daughter of Pastor and Mrs. Doug Cox!
Currently, we are involved in many ministries.
-
God has allowed our church, which started in 1994, to grow to over 1000. Several other churches have been started since then, and more will launch this year.
-
Baptist Bible College Asia opened its doors a few years ago and currently has more than 500 students enrolled.
-
Evangelistic Youth Camps started in 2000, and have expanded far beyond our belief as over 50,000 youth came to camps this past year. Many other doors have opened because of the great results- now teachers, principals, and parents are attending camps with thousands giving their lives to Christ.
-
God continues to open doors and souls are being saved, baptized, and disciple!
God is doing amazing things in the Philippines! Recently, doors have opened to expand the ministry into other countries throughout the world. We serve a Great God!
