"The Need For Community"
The next time you take a drive through Pueblo or the surrounding area look for a front porch. For those of us who grew up a generation ago, in a small community , or in the south realize front porches connected people. Whether it was a date, a cold glass of lemonade, or just time talking about the weather...front porches were the place people connected. So...what happened? Well it seems in our quest for peace... we have forsaken the front porch for privacy fences...and in the process our sense of community as well. George Gallup has said, "Americans are among the loneliest people in the world," and Pueblo is no different.
